Inspiration

GSX-1 started as a small wireframe sculpture inspired by electronics-as-art builds, where the circuit and the structure are part of a visual language similar to the work of Mohit Bhoite.

The challenge was to keep the wiring tidy enough to feel intentional while still fitting the microcontroller, GPS-related module, sensors, and display element into a very small footprint.

Electronics

I built the wiring scheme around an RP2040-based controller and wrote the control logic in C++ through the Arduino toolchain.

The focus was not only on making it work, but also on making the signal routing and physical assembly tidy when viewed up close.

Interface

The visible software layer is intentionally minimal: a small interface, clean startup behavior and enough feedback to make the object feel alive without turning it into a gadget demo.

This made the project a useful exercise in balancing technical aspects with aesthetics.
